The Start of a Beautiful Friendship

A good friend of mine had a baby, conveniently, 4 days before Isaac was born. When Scott was only 4 months old, I joined a mom's group, and Scott had insta-friends. Some of those kids are now Scotty's best buddies. And then, Isaac came along. Don't want to just go join another group for Isaac to have friends, but none of the other moms got the "have your second baby now" memo... so it was a lucky thing that an "insta-friend" was born 3 houses down!!

Meet Tristan. He and Isaac clocked in at almost the exact same weight and height at birth, and have stayed pretty close in those statistics since. Tristan has big blue eyes and blonde hair that counter Isaac's big dark eyes dark hair. Tristan has been coming to play for a few hours a couple times a week, and... let's be honest, they really don't know to care for one another yet. Sometimes they care for the other's toy, but that's about as far as it goes. But believe you me, one day, these boys are gonna be best buddies!!

Been thinking a lot lately about Isaac, and since he has been getting less blog time so far in my challenge, I wanted to put a little blurb in here about him. Isaac wants to be on the move. He is not a snuggler at all, because that means he cant be wiggling, and scooting and trying to crawl! So he spends a lot of time on the floor. Tasting everything in sight, spinning in circles, and getting genuinely upset when he gets up to his knees and rocks, but cant move forward.
Isaac was born with a form of tongue tie that prevented him from successfully breastfeeding. The Dr said that if it caused speech problems later in life that they would do something, but that in most cases they correct themselves. Well, as the paranoid mom I am, I have been worried. Isaac is so content and happy... and QUIET. He doesn't really jabber. He laughs, and cries, and yells out when he is ticked. But when he is just content and playing, he's silent. I call him my little mime. Everything about him is perfect, except one funny little tongue. Don't be alarmed, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Just wanted to make sure I recorded it so that I could remember about his progress and milestones.
Isaac is currently accepting challengers in rolling competitions. He can get across a room so fast you'd think he had crawled there. Nope, rolled. He's like a ninja. He's silent, he rolls with great speed and precision, and he could kill you with one shot of his dimples in your direction. Watch out world, for the Dark Silent Ninja Isaac!!
